MARTIN COUNTY ELECTION INFORMATION
As Election Day 2018 approaches, our right, our privilege, and our civic responsibility to make our voices heard at the polls begins to weigh more heavily on our minds. Your Fairmont Area Chamber will be assisting in Election Candidate Forums for local offices to help you make an informed decision and put your mind at ease before you reach the ballot box on November 6.
Candidate forums for state and national offices will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd from 7pm to 9pm. Fairmont city office candidate forums will take place on Wednesday, October 10 from 7pm to 8pm, followed by the School board candidate forums between 8pm and 9pm. Forums for county offices will round out the local coverage on Thursday, October 11th from 7pm to 9pm. All forums will be held at Fairmont City Hall in the Council Chambers. They will be broadcast live and rebroadcast periodically leading up to the elections on local access television.
