The Governmental Affairs Committee of the Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce, the American Association of University Women, Martin County Farm Bureau and Fairmont Women of Today will be holding a candidate forum on Monday, November 16th beginning at 7:00 p.m. The forum for Martin County Commissioner-District 3 will take place in the Fairmont City Hall Council Chambers. The special election will be held Tuesday, December 8th.
Candidates, Kathy Smith and Jim Utermarck will answer questions developed by the sponsoring groups, phone calls, and the audience. The forums will be aired live on local cable access Channel 13 and KSUM Radio. Forums will also be available on the internet a few days after the forum. Jeff Hagen will moderate. The public is invited to attend the forums at City Hall or call 238-9461 with issues they would like addressed.
