The Governmental Affairs Committee meets to assist and promote Fairmont and Martin County business participation in government and legislative affairs through education. This group:

- Sponsors Candidate Forums for local elections
- Holds Legislative Education Luncheons
- Encourages local participation in “Business Day at the Capital”
