Networking Events

The Chamber provides essential networking opportunities between members to ensure you get to know your local business colleagues. Some need business-to-business marketing, while others want to partner together. The Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce typically host a variety of events throughout the year including PM Exchanges/AM Espressos, committee meetings, golf tournaments, a membership drive, banquets, etc.

Meetings

The Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to facilitating community leadership to create economic prosperity. That leadership begins with you, our members. We welcome the chance to work with you on the important issues that will shape our region’s future prosperity – from education to small business, and from community relations to business recruitment.

 

  • Ambassadors
    The Ambassadors committee acts as a goodwill arm of the Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce. The duties of the Ambassadors committee is represent the Chamber at all ground breakings, ribbon cuttings and grand openings; assist with annual Pork Masters Golf Outing; assist with Membership Drives; and continue contact with all Chamber members encouraging them to become active in the Chamber.
  • Bureau 14
    Bureau 14 is a great professional networking meeting offered to Chamber Members. These meetings are held for the discussion of current business trends, government affairs and local community happenings.
  • Agri. Business
    The Agri. Business committee is a great networking meeting for farmers and businessmen to promote the importance of agriculture in Fairmont and Martin County. This committee also helps with awarding two $4,200 ag scholarships to Martin County high school seniors, helps by co-sponsoring the Minnesota State Pork Masters Golf Outing, provides agricultural awareness information to the community, support Ag Related courses and FFA in Fairmont Area School District, helps out with the Blue Ribbon Pork Cook-Off, and ever fall during elections the committee helps sponsor the Meet the Candidates Steak BBQ .
  • Young Professionals
  • The Young Professionals Network is a personal and professional development program for the Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce that provides opportunities for younger leaders to interact socially and to engage in the community.

PM Exchanges and AM Espressos

A PM Exchange or AM Espresso is a good way to visit, network, and learn about other Fairmont business people.  The Host usually serves hors d’ oeuvres and beverages of their choice.  The Chamber designs the email and sends out invitations to Chamber Members.  These events can have in attendance anywhere from 50-100 people.

Events

  • Annual Banquet
    The Chamber’s Annual Banquet is a celebration of the past year’s successes and a look at what’s to come in the New Year. The Annual Meeting is held the beginning of each year. The annual meeting is an evening event that attracts business and community leaders. It includes the thanking of outgoing Board members and committee chairs and the presentation of awards.
  • Chamber Golf Outing
    The Chamber’s Annual Golf Outing is held annually in June. Around 80 members participate each year. This is a great networking event that offers tons of fun. You don’t even have to know how to golf just come out and play.
  • Teacher Recognition Banquet
    The Teachers Recognition Banquet helps welcome the new teachers to Fairmont and honor those that have been in the district for twenty-five years. This is a great way for our business community to network with our educators in the area. The banquet is held in late October.
